The hourglass has fallen. Candlelight bursts into fluorescent pink, illuminating a statue like a fading idol. A skull, a rosary, and a mysterious book sit on a table prepared for a final ritual, somewhere between a vanitas, still life and a 1970s occult sect, awaiting the end.
“The Order of the Last Light” is our homage to memento mori: life is fleeting, and the youth of the body must become the youth of the spirit, the final communion before the final departure.
This poster is printed with Risography, a Japanese stencil-based technique. Risography was developed in Tokyo by the Riso Kagaku Corporation, founded in 1946 by Noboru Hayama. “Riso” means “ideal,” reflecting his goal of creating affordable, high-quality printing for offices, schools, etc.
Later, Riso was rediscovered by artists for its rich textures, layered colors, and “perfect imperfections”, visible grain, slight misalignment, and vibrant inks. Each color is printed separately, making every copy unique and distinct.
Eco-friendly, deliberate, and ritualistic, the process mirrors the work itself: time, patience, and care embedded in every layer.
The candle is still burning… Enter the cult.
